How much does it cost?
Each semester of enrollment at All The Way Up costs $25, payable on the first day of class. Scholarships are available based on need. Please speak to a member of our staff. We also offer scholarships to help students enroll in their GED Exam.
How long does it take to get my GED?
Time spent in and out of the classroom will impact each student's individual progress. Some may finish in one year, and for others, it may take several, but hard work and dedication make it possible for all students to succeed.
Do you offer classes in Spanish?
At this time, all of our classes and tutoring sessions are taught in English, though we hope to offer Spanish GED classes in the future. We will offer ESL (English as a Second Language) for people wish to learn to read, write, and speak English.
Do you offer evening or night classes?
At this time, we offer daytime classes on Tuesday and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. We hope to add evening classes in the future.
What should I expect on the first day of class?
Prospective students in All The Way Up meet with our Education Team and complete a Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE) so that we can effectively assess and place our students in the right level for tutoring. We also offer a career assessment test to all new students.
What is the classroom like?
We have small-group tutoring divided by academic level. This personalized attention has proven to be extremely effective in helping our students make enormous strides in their educational progress.
All The Way Up provides ongoing mentoring for each student’s path towards graduation, in addition to providing tutors at each class session. Our classroom is a newly-renovated space in downtown Newark.
