High School Equivalency Exam Prep (GED)

Students seeking to obtain their High School Equivalency certificate can enroll in the HSE/GED track, where they collaborate with tutors to prepare for the exam. The GED Exam is given in four sections: Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies. Any student can take any portion of the exam whenever they're ready, and are encouraged to do so.

We utilize interactive computer learning alongside pencil-and-paper workbooks in both small groups and individual settings, tailored to each student's needs and progress.

Students have the option to be matched with a for one-on-one support outside of class. Our classes are available both in-person and online. Once preparation is complete with All The Way Up, students are directed to a testing site to take the exam, and diplomas are issued by the State of New Jersey.

Classes

English as a Second Language Class (ESL)

Our English as a Second Language (ESL) class is for intermediate-level students. The class is taught on weekday evenings virtually and is free of charge. Please be advised that there may be a waitlist due to demand.

Class Goals:

  • Develop proficiency in English conversation skills. Students will expand their vocabulary and develop their fluency. They will increase their ability to communicate well in home, work, and community settings.

  • Improve English reading and writing skills.

  • Familiarize students with many facets of U.S. culture, history, and traditions.

  • Build a supportive community of learners who share information and ideas. Students will build their English language skills as they learn from the instructor and one another.
