Online Classes through 2021
Our GED and ABE Classes have moved to our new Virtual Learning Platform due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Students can attend class and work with Tutors one-on-one via Zoom, Google Meet, and FaceTime. More information is available to those who register for class.
GED Class
Students desiring completion of their High School Equivalency certificate enter the GED track and work with tutors for preparation of the HiSET exam (GED). We use interactive computer learning as well as pencil and paper workbooks in small groups and one-on-one settings depending on students’ needs and levels of progress.
ABE (Basic Skills Class)
We offer small group instruction in reading/writing and mathematics to help people learn basic skills. Some students will continue on to pursue their GED and other higher education, and some will use their knowledge to prepare for certification exams in areas such as home health and retail.
Job Readiness Seminars
One of the markers of our students’ success is placement in the workforce. Whether they are becoming certified in various professional trades or going on to complete their GED for college courses we work with individuals to make sure that everyone is able to be well-equipped for employment exams. We hold occasional seminars throughout the semester that will specifically help students prepare for job interviews, write résumés, and prepare for work in various fields. FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
ESL
(English as a Second Language)
