Get Involved

Our community of dedicated volunteer tutors and financial supporters are integral to our students success. We offer our own in-house tutor training to ensure our volunteers are prepared to meet the needs of adult learners.

Additionally, we continue to pursue new partnerships with community organizations and funders that will directly improve the educational outcomes of our students. We are committed to addressing the systemic educational problems faced by underserved adult students.

Become a Tutor

We always welcome new tutors to join our amazing team of volunteers to work with our students. Our tutors are essential to our organization. Their dedication, patience and mentoring give our students the personalized educational experience they need to succeed. At the beginning of each semester, All The Way Up conducts our own in-house tutor training so our volunteers are well prepared to empower adult learners. Tutors develop meaningful relationships with their students as they work together for the duration of each semester.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Help Adult Learners with basic skills or prepare for their GED exam in basic reading, writing, math, social studies, or science

  • Commit to tutoring 1-2 hours each week for a 12 week semester

  • Increase your understanding and appreciation of different values, cultures, and lifestyles

  • Enhance your creative problem-solving skills

  • Be a part of a diverse intergenerational teaching and learning environment

Tutor training available onsite. No prior teaching experience necessary.
