Course Offerings

ABE/GED Students all take the TABE (Test for Adult Basic Education) at the beginning and end of each semester to determine the appropriate class and small group for their own personalized educational needs.

GED (HiSet)

Students desiring completion of their High School Equivalency certificate enter the GED track and work with tutors for preparation of the HiSET exam (GED). We use interactive computer learning as well as pencil and paper workbooks in small groups and one-on-one settings depending on students’ needs and levels of progress.

Basic Skills – ABE (Adult Basic Education)

We offer small group instruction in reading/writing and mathematics to help people learn basic skills. Some students will continue on to pursue their GED and other higher education, and some will use their knowledge to prepare for certification exams in areas such as home health and retail.

ESL (English as a Second Language)

Classes to help people improve their English speaking and writing skills.  Classes are held Tuesdays 2:00 – 3:30 p.m.

Job Readiness

One of the markers of our students’ success is placement in the workforce. Whether they are becoming certified in various professional trades or going on to complete their GED for college courses we work with individuals to make sure that everyone is able to be well-equipped for employment exams. We look forward to holding seminars throughout the year that will specifically help students prepare for job interviews, write résumés, and prepare for work in various fields.

Computer Literacy

All students work on computer literacy as a part of their education at All The Way Up. Special seminars and classes may be offered occasionally with our job readiness seminars.
